Privacy & GDPR
With the GDPR coming into effect on the 25th May 2018, we thought we would tell you about our General Data Protection Regulation stuff. We only collect the data that a customer supplies to us via our website when an order is placed by the customer.
Although we have the option for a customer to accept Marketing/Newsletters, we haven't sent any out as of yet, and to be perfectly honest, we don't have any plans to send any out in the future. This may change, but if you've signed up to receive marketing from us here at Tea Ink, you'll only ever receive a newsletter from us, Tea Ink, as we'll never pass your details on to anyone else.
We keep your details on our website via the Shopify servers (shopify is the company that we created our online store via - we're a tiny shop in the Cotswolds, we didn't write the code from scratch or anything - we're not that clever.) Shopify is based in California, USA, and as far as we've been told, they only use the details you supply when ordering with us to check for fraudulent account/banking activities when paying for an order.
The best bit is, customer accounts are completely optional when ordering with Tea Ink, and we'll only contact you with regards to your order. If you don't like any of what we've said, get in touch with us via firstname.lastname@example.org or cancel/delete your account!
