A superb black leaf Orange Pekoe (FOP) from China. A subtle malty flavour with a fine golden liquor.
Has many similarities to a high quality, large leaf Assam, but with an added spicy tang, and a toasty aroma.
Brew time: Just over the 3 minute mark will bring out the hidden sweetness of the Yunnan leaf.
Brew Temp: 100 degrees, or freshly boiled.
To milk or not to milk: That, is the question. Being a black tea, it can handle a splash or two of milk, but although it would add a certain structure to the tea, it'll also mask some of the finer and more delicate flavours. Dealer's choice really.
